La Presse Médicale – East Mediterranean Region (LPM-EMR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access medical journal. It is published under the Web of Science – East Mediterranean (WOS-EMR) in collaboration with the Global Research Collaboration Hub (GRC Hub).
The journal is dedicated to advancing medical knowledge, clinical practice, and public health research, with a special focus on the East Mediterranean Region (EMR), while also maintaining a global outlook. Open Access Policy
LPM-EMR is Hybrid and a fully open-access journal. All articles are published online with free and permanent availability, ensuring that clinicians, academics, policymakers, and students across the world especially in the East Mediterranean—can access and use scientific findings without barriers.
Article Processing Charges (APC)

Standard APC: $2,300 USD per accepted manuscript.

Full Waiver: A 100% APC waiver is available for authors in Group A (low-income) countries.

Discount: A 75% discount (APC = $575 USD) is available for authors in Group B (lower-middle-income) countries.

Regional Priority: Authors from the East Mediterranean, early-career researchers, and studies on regional health challenges are given priority in the waiver/discount allocation.

Invited Editorials and Commentaries are exempt from APCs.
Editorial and Peer Review Policy
Submissions undergo a double-anonymized peer review by at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific merit, independent of the authors’ ability to pay APCs. The journal follows ICMJE, COPE, and WHO/EMRO ethical publishing guidelines.
